A Country Escape

This week, Twig Hutchinson, Art Director, Stylist and founder of online lifestyle journal Minford encourages us to switch off our phones and revel in nature. Judging by the halcyon idyll her family enjoys in the Cotswolds and which Sarah Maingot captures so beautifully, her argument is a convincing one. So what are you waiting for?

“I like to get out of the city, with all its noise so that the children can have a break from the maelstrom and enjoy being surrounded by beautiful open countryside and a slower pace of life. These little escapes are such a treat – and very much a time for simple pleasures: wandering through the woods; picking apples in the garden; adventuring in the fields. No screens or phone reception. A bit like going back in time, or stepping into the pages of a children’s story book. Aurelie’s Godmother’s cottage, – who took these photos-  in the heart of the Cotswolds, is the perfect place.”

OR OUR THIRD INSTALMENT OF THE JOURNAL, WE WANTED TO EXPLORE CITIES AND LANDSCAPES, PLACES THAT UNDENIABLY EXERT AN IN UENCE ON THE QUOTIDIAN, EITHER ELEVATING THE EVERY DAY OR ENCOURAGING US TO THINK DIFFERENTLY AND EMBRACE WHATEVER IT IS THAT SURROUNDS US. FOR ARCHITECTS...
