Caramel design focuses on easy separates, beautiful details, soft silhouettes and produces the sort of clothes that become much loved-, worn-in wardrobe staples. Caramel understands only too well the idea of understated and quiet luxury, designing only with the finest quality materials to hand.
This means cashmere from Scotland, Fair-isle knitting techniques, traditional tweeds and the use of both Liberty or original prints which are designed in-house and produced in the UK. Caramel pushes the boundaries of childrenswear with its highly considered colour palette and distinctive prints. There is no sense of mass production to Caramel’s clothes and a sense of timelessness is prevalent.
In 2016, Caramel launched a womenswear collection for women who have long hankered after a slice of Caramel’s unflinching way with colour or vintage inspired cuts. Says Eva Karayiannis: “Our mission is to design effortless pieces for the Caramel customer who has grown up and still wants to wear our familiar aesthetic which incorporates our discerning eye for details and flattering cuts at an affordable price point.”
Today Caramel is sold in 10 stores globally including New York, Tokyo, Ukraine and Kuwait and it is stocked in over 100 independent retailers.
