Caramel was originally conceived to challenge traditional, limited perceptions of childrenswear and a strong, distinctive aesthetic of fresh silhouettes which balance the classic and contemporary quickly emerged and continues to flourish each season. An abundance of home grown craftsmanship, bold print and a sophisticated, idiosyncratic use of layered colours and textures make up the essence of Caramel’s womenswear collection.

Says Eva Karayiannis: “I wanted to create a womenswear label for stylish, urban, modern women who are looking for effortless, understated clothes which chime with the idea of affordable luxury. Our customer likes to be fashionable without slavishly following trends or compromising on quality and appreciates clothes with a point of difference and predilection for details which reference our signature off-colour palette and print archive.”

“I don’t like the ethics of cheap, throw away fashion and felt there was a gap between the high street and expensive, high end –fashion. No one needs hundreds of clothes, in their wardrobe yet I felt that many women were looking for easy –to-wear pieces that could be styled up or down, that fit different body shapes and which will appeal to all ages.
