New Caramel Home Collection

blog-post

Eva Karayiannis at Caramel is proud to introduce her new homeware range which launches this Autumn.

As always, Caramel explores its unflinching way with colour, vintage embroidery and a skillful blend of juxtaposed prints from far flung places.

Cocooning homeware is high on the agenda: multi-coloured crochet square blankets recall a bygone childhood while ditsy print quilts, Aegean blue florals and embroidered cushions offer a nod to the romance and artisanal, decorative flourishes of Central Asia.

Prints remain at the heart of Caramel’s homeware –  delicate Paisley, a Pineapple flower motif and intricate needlework loom large for this winter’s collection.

Says Eva Karayiannis “I was drawn to ethnic influences for this season’s collection and the idea of what people would have once included in their trousseau. These chests would have been filled with unique, hand-embroidered items, lovingly made by families for their children and handed down through generations. Not many such items survive: not only did they express a family’s wealth but also so much beauty, precious materials and thought would have gone into creating these pieces”
